What’s Happening at CVBC

  • CVBC Drama Ministry Christmas event is this Saturday! Join us for an original play in one act on December 16, at 7:00pm: “A Not So Silent Night.” There will be Christmas songs and cookies after the play. If you would like to bring some cookies for the event, please do so!

  • Nursery seeking volunteers: · Do you enjoy spending time with babies and toddlers? If so, we need YOU! The nursery numbers are increasing and once again we are in search of volunteers to help out. We have recently begun to schedule additional workers each week to accommodate the growing number of little ones! Ideally, volunteers will serve once every two months so we are adding to our number of volunteers to allow for this. We are also looking for a few individuals (or pairs) to clean the nursery toys. This can be done ANYTIME during the week you are scheduled and is typically a once per month rotation.

  • Adult Sunday School Everyday Conversations: How to give godly counsel in your friendships goes through Dec. 17 at 9am in Room 50. December 10: topic: Gospel help to the angry. December 17 topic: Gospel help to the anxious.

  • We are hosting a baby items drive for APPLE Pregnancy Care Center  through December. Sleepers, winter clothing, pajamas, diaper bags, formula, etc. are examples. See complete list of needed items/sizes in the lobby at the APPLE table. You can take the list with you.

  • Women’s Mentoring 2024: The application cycle for the new mentoring year is now open! The program runs March through February. Pick up your application to be a mentor or mentee in the lobby or the office.

  • Christmas Eve services (Sunday, December 24) will be as follows:

Regular morning worship service: 9:00am (nursery provided)

Traditional Christmas Eve service: 5:00pm (nursery provided)

Student Ministry

Bring on the students!  Our heart is to teach the Word, worship together, demonstrate and practice spiritual disciplines and connect relationally, knowing that who we ARE is just as important as knowing HOW to live.  Along with our regular Wednesday night meetings, we are looking forward to some other activities as well, including the DISTRICTS Youth Conference, movie nights, a missions trip to Guatemala, and more.

If you are a student in middle school or high school and you want to go deeper in your faith and your friendships, join the CVBC Youth Group!
