Description
Title:
Youth Director
Purpose:
To provide effective and stimulating ministry to junior high
and senior high youth, in an effort to:
- Bring
the youth to a life-changing saving faith in Jesus Christ.
- Assist
the youth in understanding the importance of and value in a close personal
relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Guide
the youth through growing in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- Equip
and prepare the youth to share the "Good News" 'of Jesus Christ
to others.
In addition, to provide effective training and leadership to
the volunteer Youth staff so that they:
- Will
be able to teach and lead in the areas of their gifts.
- Build
positive relationships with the youth, to encourage them in their walk of
faith.
- Grow
in their own faith in God.
Responsible to:
Administrative Director
Ministry Expectations:
- Excel
at preaching and teaching teens.
- Passion
about working with teens.
- Excel
at building relationships with teens.
- Ability
to communicate effectively with teens in large group, small group and
1-on-1 settings.
- Experience
in leading a youth program.
- Lead
and develop the volunteer youth staff.
- Evaluate
and develop short and long term strategies for the youth program
- Work
with ministry directors to plan and develop weekday and weekend classes
and programs.
- Work
with the Administrative Director to formulate the youth program budget.
- Lead a
youth missions trip.
Personal qualifications:
- Be a
mature believer in Jesus Christ.
- Be a
person who maintains a close personal walk with Jesus Christ.
- Be a
person who maintains a healthy relationship with others.
- Agree
with the concept of an Elder led body of believers
- Show a
willingness to be mentored.
- Maintains
a Biblical world view.
- Complies
with a background check.
