On Sunday, May 21, 2006
Chippewa Valley Bible Church
held its annual
"Honor Our Educators" worship service to thank all the teachers,
administrators, staff, and coaches who help educate our kids.
This event has such a wide appeal that we have outgrown our church building, and so for the first time, we held it in the Chi-Hi auditorium this year. That place seats 700, and I'll bet we had around 600 people there, including a reported 100 educators. Our feature speaker for the day was Guy Doud, 1986 National Teacher of the Year. He was an AWESOME speaker, as anyone there will tell you! In addition to the normal worship team, we were also joined by 14 singers from the Chi-Hi choir. (I used my FZ30 digital camera...I had to user a higher ISO rating to avoid using flash.)
