Missionary Highlight: John & Kathie Pederson
Converge International Ministries, Minnesota
Through the convergence of 38 years of serving in a variety of ministries and countries, God has prepared and called us to now invest in reaching refugees, immigrants, and internationals that He is purposely and strategically bringing to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. John & Kathie serve on an experienced team with Converge International Ministries. Their team is focused on a newly launched initiative to reach the least-reached peoples concentrated in the Twin Cities, many of whom come from countries where there is no church, Bible or even access to the gospel. The Pedersons are mobilizing churches and leaders to engage in our “new neighbors” through coaching and training. The strategy is to “Start Local to Go Global” as they pray for a gospel movement among these least-reached groups to naturally spread back to their homelands. One third of the people in the Twin Cities are first-or second-generation immigrants! God is bringing the nations to our doorstep! The Pedersons have 3 adult children. John is a former youth pastor at CVBC and the son of the late Bill Pederson, former pastor of CVBC (1970-1990).
Prayer Requests:
For God to ignite a disciple-making movement among the least-reached people that He is purposely bringing to the Twin Cities.
That God would provide for our needs to continue in this ministry.
For protection for us and our family as we engage in spiritual warfare.
