Sermon: Grace for a Sinner: Isaiah

Isaiah 6:1-13

Main Point: When you encounter the Holy King, your heart either _________  or ____________. And if it softens, the King’s  _________ is unleashed upon you.

Encountering the Holy King

Possible Responses to this Encounter:

  • A Heart Softened, Grace Given

  • A Heart Hardened, Judgment Coming

Small Group Questions:

1. What is something that stood out to you from this passage or sermon?

2. What is “holiness” and where is it in this passage?

3. As a Christian, how do you make sure your heart is softened to receiving God and His truth? (Or how do you  avoid your heart becoming hardened?)

Back of Bulletin:

Ministry Highlight: MEDIA TEAM

We need help behind the scenes! The Media Team takes care  of Sunday morning media needs, like sound, lyrics projection,   and video/live-streaming.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry, we can use your help! We have opportunities for all levels of expertise, from simply  pressing the space bar, to running the video camera or sound board. Experience is helpful, but not necessary. Training will be provided.

Graphics Operator:

Helps with projecting slides on the screen Sunday mornings.  The time commitment is approximately once every 6 weeks.

Sound Technician:

Helps run the sound board during Sunday morning services and Thursday evening rehearsals. This person handles the sound for the band, singers, and anyone who speaks, and records the message for online and CD use. Sound technicians are also needed for special services and events, such as weddings and funerals.

Video Technician:

Runs the camera for live-streaming. As with all technology positions, volunteers will be on a rotational schedule.
