CVBC Missionaries:
John & Kathie Pederson
with Converge International Ministries
Minnesota
Through the convergence of 40 years of serving in a variety of ministries and countries, God has prepared and called us to now invest in reaching refugees, immigrants, and internationals that He is purposely and strategically bringing to Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. John and Kathie serve on an experienced team with Converge International Ministries. Their team is focused on a newly launched initiative to reach the least-reached peoples concentrated in the Twin Cities, many of whom come from countries that have no church, Bible or even access to the gospel. The Pedersons are mobilizing churches and leaders to engage in our “new neighbors” through coaching and training. The strategy is to “Start Local to Go Global” as they pray for a gospel movement among these least-reached groups to naturally spread back to their homelands. One third of the people in the Twin Cities are first- or second-generation immigrants! God is bringing the nations to our doorstep! The Pedersons have three adult children and six grandchildren. John is a former youth pastor at CVBC and the son of the late Bill Pederson, former pastor of CVBC (1970-1990).
PRAYER REQUESTS:
For God to ignite a disciple-making movement among the least-reached people that He is purposely bringing to the Twin Cities
Pray for God to “open eyes & turn hearts from darkness to light”
Pray for churches and leaders to actively participate in bringing the light and hope of Jesus to the least-reached in the Twin Cities
Pray for God’s protection for us and our family as we engage in spiritual warfare
