What’s Happening at CVBC
· Today is the beginning of Small Groups week.
· Women’s Mentoring Applications are due TODAY. You can find them in the lobby or on the women’s ministry page of our website: cvbc.net.
· Adult Sunday School has begun a four-part series on the prayers of the Bible, led by Matt Jewell. Join us Sundays in room 50 at 9:00am as we seek to deepen our prayer lives by learning from the Biblical stories of David, Paul, and Hannah.
· Join Tuesday Morning Moms as we begin 1 & 2 Peter on January 10. We meet from 9:30-11:00am following the school calendar (& weather interruptions). All moms are welcome. Childcare is provided.
· We have several different Bible Reading Plans available in the lobby.
· Ladies: We have a 4-week winter study beginning Monday, Feb. 6 from 6-7:15pm using the book “Suffering Is Never For Nothing” by Elisabeth Elliot. If you attended the Ladies’ retreat last October, you received this book. It’s a short but powerful look at our suffering as Christians. We encourage all ladies to join us, and if you need a book they are available online or we can help get one for you. Sign up in the lobby.
· If you miss a sermon, you can now find it as a podcast! Search for Chippewa Valley Bible Church-sermon on your podcast app.
· DISTRICTS Youth Conference (January 13-15 in Green Bay, WI) still has a few spots left. Contact Alan as soon as possible.
· A Guatemala mission/work trip is being planned for March 18-25, for High School students and adults. Brochures are in the lobby.

Ministry Highlight:ChildrEN’s Ministry
IIf you are the parent of a child (or children) up through grade 5, we have many ways to get them involved in programs with their peers, taught by adults that desire to teach, love, and nurture children.
· Nursery: 9:00am | Year-Round (birth—3 yrs.)
We offer nursery for newborns up through age 3 so that parents can give their full attention to the worship service.
· Sunday School: 9:00am | School Year (4K-5th grade)
We offer Sunday school for elementary school-aged children during the 9:00am hour. Contact Julie at juliee@cvbc.net for more information.
· BLAST: Wednesday Evenings | School Year (4K-5th grade) 5:45-7:30pm
Our BLAST program is a fun-filled evening for kids including games, music, and opportunities to build friendships. But at the center is a transforming message from God’s Word and a better understanding of the Word through Bible memorization. Contact Steve at steveh@cvbc.net for more information about BLAST.
All teachers and nursery workers are elder-approved and screened with a background check.
· Family Room: 10:30am | School Year
Families with young children can enjoy worship via live stream. The room has a large-screen monitor with activities & toys so kids can have a little more space/freedom while parents watch the service.
