What’s Happening at CVBC 

  • Today we recognize new members of CVBC!

  • RUBY’s PANTRY is this Tuesday. Food distribution runs from 2-5pm. Volunteers needed 12-6pm. First-time volunteers, please use the following link: https://www.rubyspantry.org/become-volunteer.

  • A new Bible study for men and women begins Tuesday, May 2 from 6:00-7:30pm. Bible Diggers Tools Class, a 4-week study, will be led by Alan & Emily Dunham. Bring a Bible, notebook, and pen. Sign up in the lobby.

  • Adult Sunday School begins a 5-wk. series: Helping Without Hurting  today in Room 50 at 9am. We’ll explore how the Bible says we can minister to the poor’s spiritual and physical needs. All adults welcome.

  • Ladies: Sign up TODAY for our Annual Ladies’ Spring Lunch Saturday, April 22 at 10:00am. We’ll share a meal and hear from guest speaker Delia Westphal. All ladies are welcome.

  • Ladies’ Cookie Decorating Night:  Thursday, April 27, from 6-8pm. Sign up in the lobby or online by April 17. Payment is due in advance ($30).

  • Men’s Retreat is April 28-29 at Kamp Kenwood. Cost is $25, payable in the office, the offering box, or online. Sign up in the lobby.

  • Our next Quarterly Family Meeting with lunch is Sunday, April 30, right after second service. All are welcome. Please sign up in the lobby.

  • Volunteer needs for our Thrift Sale Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6: Help with set-up (April 30 through May 4) and/or sales, or bake cookies or bars! There are many opportunities to serve. Sign up in the lobby.

  • We are accepting donations for the Thrift Sale. Call first if you are bringing bigger items (723-2872). The deadline to drop items off: Sunday, April 30. See back of bulletin for more Thrift Sale details.

CVBC’s Annual THRIFT SALE

May 5-6

Friday: 7:00am-6:00pm, Saturday 7:00am-2:00pm 

General Guidelines:

· You can bring donations to church during office hours (M: 11-4, T&W: 9-4). through Sunday, 4.30. To donate large items please contact Alan for pick up or alternative drop-off times (aland@cvbc.net or 715-864-4406).

· We appreciate your donations! We are also grateful for your  discernment as to whether your donated item(s) will sell.

· Receipts can be given for tax purposes (ask in the office).

· If you’d like to make a monetary donation, please designate on your check or envelope “Student Missions.” 

Volunteers needed (sign up in lobby): 

· To make cookies, or to make, cut & wrap bars for concessions.

· To help set up Sunday, April 30-Thursday, May 4 (you’ll get “early bird” shopping privileges!).

· To help with sales on Friday & Saturday inside (morning and afternoon shifts available) and to clean up Saturday afternoon.

· To help with sales outside at the garage/furniture area.

· To help with the concessions stand on sale days.
