What’s Happening at CVBC 

  • The next Men’s event will be Monday, July 1 at Mark Grossinger’s home at 6pm: Wood-fired Pizza.

  • Monday, July 8, at 6pm is the next Women’s event: Wood-fired Pizza at the same location, Mariellen Grossinger’s home.

  • A Ladies’ Bible Study focusing on 2 Peter begins Tuesday, July 9, and goes for 4 weeks. We will use John MacArthur's book: 1&2 Peter. Join the group even if you weren’t part of the 1 Peter study. All ladies are welcome. 9:30-11:00am. Sign up in the lobby.

  •  All Seniors (55+) are invited to a Freedom Celebration at the lake shore home of Orv & Pam Bystol, located near Bruce, WI, on Thursday, July 11. There will be a focus on our precious freedoms, singing of patriotic songs, and a message from one of our veteran friends, as well as great food! Meet and Greet starts at 11:00am; lunch is at noon. Go straight there or meet at CVBC at 9:45am to carpool.  Maps and signup sheet  are in the lobby.

  • The next Red Cross Blood Drive is Friday, July 12, from 9am-3pm

  •  The next Book Club meets July 14 at 10:30am to discuss None Like Him by Jen Wilkin.

  • Don’t forget to join in on the FUN DAY (Saturday, July 20) from 1-4pm for inflatables, face painting, dunk tank, and more! All ages are welcome to come and enjoy the day commemorating CVBC’s 90th Anniversary!

  • There will be a Beanbag Toss (Cornhole) Tournament on Sat., July 20 at 1:30pm, as part of our celebration as well. Sign up in the lobby by yourself or in teams.

What to learn from Judah: Trust God by opposing sin.

 

2. Joseph:

What to learn from Joseph: Trust God by consistent obedience.

 

Small Group Questions:

1.  What is something that stood out to you from the passage or sermon?

2. Contrast Judah and Joseph. What did they do differently?

3. How can we apply this passage to our lives? Where can you trust God more?


BACK OF BULLETIN: Guatemala Mission Trip 2024

Friday, June 28 - Friday, July 5

Our Team: 21 people from four churches coming together to serve missionaries Oscar & Karla Chiquito and their home church, Los Olivos.

Please pray for us:

* for energy and mindfulness as our first flight is at 5am

* for our travel in general, flights, car rides and health

* that our team will have great unity and friendship

* that we will be a blessing to Oscar and Karla

* for our children's ministry with Los Olivos

* for our time of doing home visits

* for stamina and determination in our physical labor

* for our hearts to love the people we are serving

* for our love for Jesus and his church to grow

* for the fruit of the Spirit to be manifest in us

 

Please also pray this passage from Ephesians 3:20-21:

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
