Small Groups focus on building deeper relationships by providing a smaller community to pray together, study the Bible, and challenge each other to grow in our faith. For more information, contact Mark Wathke at smallgroups@cvbc.net.
Children’s Ministry needs volunteers! If you are interested in helping out in the nursery, Sunday school, or BLAST please sign up in the lobby. A leader from that ministry area will contact you to answer any questions you may have, and to get you connected.
A BLESSED LIFE
Genesis 48
Main Point: Church, praise God that because we _____ to Him, we are ____ people.
1. What does it mean to be blessed by God?
2. How do you become blessed by God?
3. How does God bless others through us?
Small Group Questions:
1. What is something that stood out to you from the passage or sermon?
2. What do this passage and the Bible say about a blessed life? How is the blessed life from God better and different than the “blessed life” we often desire?
3. What is your role in helping others (i.e. the next generation) know the blessed life with God?

Student Ministry
Learn a Skill Night
Wednesday, August 14, 7-9pm
Church family, this would be a great time to invite a teenager to CVBC.
We are going to offer four different classes. Teens can choose two classes to participate and learn in, taught by our own CVBC adults.
These are great introductory classes on basic skills. Classes will be 45 minutes each.
The four classes are:
· Sewing - how do I hem my pants, put on a button, repair a rip in my shirt?
· Budgeting - how do I make a budget and how does the Bible speak to money?
· Car Care - how do I take care of my tires, change a light bulb or wiper blades?
· Cooking - how can I be ready to make some healthy meals at home?
Our youth group meets from 7-9pm on Wednesday nights, twice a month during the summer and most Wednesdays during the school year. We desire to teach and model the Christian life to teenagers in a relationally-rich environment.
· For a wide assortment of biblical materials appropriate for middle school and high school students, check out the CVBC Library!
