What’s Happening at CVBC 

  • Reminder: Stay after the service today to share a meal together!

  • Ruby’s Pantry is this coming Tuesday, August 20. Volunteers are needed from noon-6pm, especially between 2:15 & 5:30pm to load vehicles. Food distribution is from 2:30-5:30. First-time volunteers, please register HERE.

  • IMPROV Comedy Night is coming! Join us this Saturday, August 24, at 7pm. Everyone is invited to enjoy an evening of laughter and fun! It’s a free event, and any donations to go toward mission trips are welcome.

  • Our annual CVBC meeting is on Sunday, August 25, at 10:30am.

  • We now have a church app! Use the QR code (printed in the bulletin) to download Church Center on your phone. Sign up for events, directory, and more! For computers: mycvbc.churchcenter.com/home.

  • Use the app to register kids for our fall programs: Nursery, Sunday school, BLAST, and Youth Group.

  • An intensive Improv Workshop for teens (12-18) is Saturday, August 24, from 1-5pm. Text John by August 21 if you’d like to attend the workshop. You will get to perform at the Improv Night that evening!

  • APPLE Pregnancy Care Center news: Starting August 25 we will run the Baby Bottle fundraiser. Take an empty bottle home with you and bring it back with your spare change in it by September 8. The APPLE Walk for Life is Saturday, September 14 at 10am at Owen Park in Eau Claire. Registration begins at 9am. See fliers in lobby/entryway for more details.

  • The next Men’s Event will be a Fish Fry on Monday, September 9, at 6pm. All men are invited.

  • The next Red Cross Blood Drive will be Friday, September 6, 9am-3pm.

woMen’s Ministry

The purpose of the CVBC Women’s Ministry is to bring glory to God by providing opportunities for women to grow in their personal relationships with God, to equip them to serve Him with their spiritual gifts, and to encourage fellowship.  We do this by offering:

· New and current Bible Studies for Women at CVBC:
* Monday | 9:30am | Daniel | no homework | open study
* Tuesday | 9:30am | James | Sept. 3,-Nov. 19. Uses the John MacArthur book on James. Sign up in the lobby or Church Center app.
* Tuesday Morning Moms | 9:30am | no homework | open study | starts Sept. 10, meets weekly, childcare available.
* Monday | 6:30pm | James | no homework | open study | starts Sept. 9

· Mentoring: Annually
The Mentoring year at CVBC runs from March through February. Watch for more information this winter.

· Fall Retreat: Friday–Sunday, October 4-6, 2024. The women’s retreat offers a get-away to worship, learn, study, discuss, pray, make friends and nurture friendships.  Brochures and registration information are coming soon. Save the dates in your calendars, Ladies!

· Fellowship Events: The Women’s Ministry Team hosts fun social events throughout the year. These events offer great opportunities for you to invite and introduce your friends, family and neighbors to CVBC. Watch for more details about our upcoming fall Campfire and Ladies’ Christmas Celebration.

· Newsletter: The Women’s Ministry August edition is available. We publish a monthly newsletter to help the women of CVBC get to know one another, and to give us a glimpse into the upcoming events and studies. These are found in the office, via email, or snail mail. To be added to the existing mailing list, go to
