What’s Happening at CVBC 

  • Praise & Worship Night is TONIGHT at 6pm. All are welcome

  • The Adult Sunday school wraps up our series on Bible Genres today.. Join us next week (October 6) for the first class on Christianity and Politics at 9am in room 50.

  • This Wednesday’s Youth Group is Fields of Faith in Altoona (Oct. 2). Register your teens and get all details in the app. Parental permission is needed to attend this off-site event for grades 6-12.

  • Men’s Bible Studies at CVBC:

    Monday nights: 6:30pm

    Tuesday mornings: 7am

    Tuesday evenings: 6:30pm (starting Oct. 1 with Ephesians)

    1st/3rd Saturday mornings: 7:30am Men’s Breakfast

  • Everyone is invited to enjoy the TRUNK or TREAT fun on Saturday, October 12 from 2-4pm.  If you'd like to assist, there are a couple of ways to help out: Bring candy to donate between now and the event (see tote in the lobby), and/or sign up with the app or in the lobby for all volunteering options—including bringing a vehicle with the trunk decorated so kids can stop by and get candy!

Small Group Questions:

1. What is something that stood out to you from the passage or sermon?

2. How did the description of Jesus apply directly to each of the churches’ present circumstances?

3. Is there any area where we feel the cost of faithfulness to Jesus? How do we remain faithful?
