New Sermon Series begins November 30: MATTHEW — The Story of King Jesus
CVBC Family ~ Advent begins this Sunday! We have two Advent resources available to you:
1) Children's Ministry will be distributing Family Advent Guides to all of the Sunday School children each week. There will be extras available on a table in the lobby.
2) We will have postcard-sized handouts - 25 Days of Advent Readings - at the Welcome Table in the lobby as well. These are for everyone.
You are welcome to join us for the new Adult Sunday School series, a Biblical view of Death and Grief, November 30-December 14.
Giving Tree Reminders
Thank you for your participation in the Giving Tree. If you took a tag, please note these important instructions:
Buy a gift card for the place on the tag ($20 suggested amount).
Write a personal Christmas card for the person named on the tag.
Return all (with tag taped to envelope and gift card inside) to CVBC by Dec. 14. There's a card box in the office (weekdays) & next to the tree (Sundays).
Commit to praying for that person throughout the Christmas season. You can contact the office (office@cvbc.net) for prayer requests. If your tag recipient gave us a request we will pass it along to you.
CVBC Men’s Chili Cook-off event is Monday, December 1, at 6:00pm.
Attention Ladies 18 yrs. and older: You are invited to our annual Ladies' Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 13, from 10am to 12pm. We will sing Christmas carols, listen to an inspirational talk by one of our own CVBC women, enjoy fellowship and a delicious lunch. When you sign up you can also choose to do any of the following:
Bring cookies
Bring sets of mugs or teacups
Decorate a table
These are all optional. Do not be intimidated about decorating a table! Your decorations can be any theme and can be simple, elaborate, or somewhere in between. It's really fun to see so many different styles, designs, colors, and personalities on the day of the celebration! Sign up in the foyer or online by December 8.
GriefShare is starting at CVBC on January 8, 2026. It will run from 6:00-7:30pm on Thursdays for 13 weeks.
Interested in the Biblical Counseling Training in February? The plan is that we will have the training here at CVBC instead of traveling to IN, and will access classes via live stream. To learn more about this training, click HERE. Contact Dave & Sue LeMay if you have questions.

CVBC Men’s Chili Cook-off event is Monday, December 1, at 6:00pm.
The Giving Tree will be in the lobby starting this Sunday, November 9, filled with tags for gift ideas for people from three places: The Chippewa Falls Police Department, Halmstad School, and Go Riteway Bus Company.
Instruction cards will be next to the tree, so don't forget to take one when you choose your tag and sign it out.
Register by November 13 for DISTRICTS, January 9-11, 2026. For all students in grades 7-12. Brochures are available at church.
Fall Women’s Fellowship – Craft Night, Saturday, November 15 | 6:30–8:30 PM Ladies, join us for a cozy evening of friendship, fun, and creativity at our Fall Women’s Fellowship! We'll be working on a beginner-friendly sewing project—no experience needed. Just bring a snack to share and come ready to enjoy meaningful time with one another. Sign up in the lobby or online by Sunday, November 9. We’re “sew” looking forward to seeing you there!

If you have not come to a session yet, this is a perfect time to come and join the group.
