Membership

The membership of this church will consist of those who give clear evidence of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, and a sincere desire to live a godly, Christian life. Each person desiring to unite with this church will be interviewed by one or more elders as to his/her Christian experience, and the basis of his or her salvation. Upon approval, the individual will be received and commissioned into the membership and ministry of the church. All applicants will be required to assent to the Basic Responsibilities for Members and Governing Policies of the church and attend a membership class. An individual must be at least 16 years of age to become a member.

Withdrawal or Removal:

  1. Upon written request of any member addressed to the Elders, his or her name shall be removed from the church roll.

  2. If a member should join another church without a written request for removal of his or her name from the church roll, his or her name shall be removed from the church roll.

  3. Membership may be revoked, for any of the following reasons:

    • Belief in a false or heretical doctrine

    • A life inconsistent with a Christian profession

    • Continuous absence from the service for 12 months without satisfactory reasons
