Online Giving and Counters
Online Giving:
Have you ever given thought to tithing online? CVBC offers Online Giving. It’s easier than you might think! Just go to cvbc.net, then click on the Online Giving tab on the top right. It’s safe, secure, and flexible. You can set up a one-time gift or a recurring giving option. Or you can fill out a form in the office and electronic giving can be set up for you. Online giving options take from your checking/savings account OR from a check/debit card. Please take a few minutes to pray and consider the benefits of Online Giving today.
Counters:
When churches receive weekly tithes and offerings, there’s more going on than meets the eye. Along with physically collecting people’s money and taking it to the bank, the counters need to track how much comes in, who it comes from, and the designation. This requires substantial record keeping and an effective internal control structure to ensure that the information is accurate and the money stays safe. So churches need to have guidelines for handling the offering to protect the church, the money, AND the counters. We counters follow a written policy of best practices when handling the church’s money.
Each Sunday the counting of CVBC offering takes place in the church office, usually during second service. Approximately 90 minutes are required to complete the counting duties.
We’re always looking for willing volunteers!
If you’re an active member of CVBC and would like to serve on the counting team, or you’d like more information, please contact Mark Hedrington at markh@cvbc.net.
