What’s Happening at CVBC
Next Sunday at 8:00am all are welcome to join the elders for prayer in Room 10.
Welcome/Prayer cards: If you consider CVBC your church home and you’ve never filled out a card with your information, please do so! The white Welcome cards found in the pew backs and under chairs are to help us with communication — which is only possible if we’ve heard from you. Prayer requests can be written on the other side. We pray for these on Mondays at noon and send them out to our email prayer group.
Tuesday Morning Moms (TMM) has resumed and meets from 9:30-11:00am. Join other mothers for fellowship and encouragement from God’s Word. All moms welcome! Nursery is provided. Note: A paid, weekly childcare position is available. Contact Beth at beth.arneberg@gmail.com.
FREEDOM Recovery meets 3x weekly: Tues.-1pm, Thurs.-7pm, and Sat.-8am. We use the Life Recovery Bible 12-Step Program. Join us! Contact Jerry at (715) 379-0200 or email gsolfest@gmail.com.
SERMON: The Transfiguration
Mark 9:2-13
Main Point: The transfiguration of Jesus Christ is the ______________ Revelation of God’s Son in _____________ to Who do you say that I am?
What of the eye-opening experience?
Who do you say that I am?
This is our commissioning to missions.
Small Group Questions:
What is something that stood out to you from this passage or sermon?
Do we have union with Christ today?
What type of suffering in my life do I see as filling up my death and resurrection life?
Am I a follower of Christ today, or just a follower caught in a net?
