Back of Bulletin Missionary Highlight:

Tony & Mary Poulson

New Tribes Mission: Retired

Tony and Mary ministered to the Yanomami Indians on Brazil's northern border with Venezuela. The believers often came to their home for counsel and teaching. Tony also had a burden to evangelize the older generation, often going to the Indian communal houses to reach them. A lot of his time was also spent in maintenance, helping coworkers and Indians. Mary was responsible for producing literacy material. Later, here in the States, she compiled the complete lessons of Jesus’ birth, ministry, and death. These are now being used in teaching the children and in the church. They live in Florida.

From their most recent letter to CVBC (November 8, 2021):

We had a busy month in October with a Brazilian family staying with us for about a week. It was great talking Portuguese with them the whole time. They came from a city (where) our granddaughter and husband had (attended) an      English school for awhile.

Becky our daughter (now living in Green Bay) has been quite sick with COVID, as well as her husband, and Sara and husband. Sara and Abe got well soon enough to fly to Brazil to attend a wedding of Abe's sister. They got back yesterday to take back their 5 foster children who had been cared for in various homes.

Brenda has been busy in the tribe, helping in school as well as having a spiritual ministry in the lives of various individuals. A young fellow named Osini is really growing in the Lord, learning to read better, praying for Ezekiel who has been sick. Brenda recorded his prayer for us to hear, which was a real blessing.

I got a lot of cards and greetings for my 85th birthday which was on Sunday. I was 75 when we retired from Brazil, and a lot has happened since then. We have been in our retirement home for 2-1/2 years now and are thankful for the Lord's care for us.

Yours because He came,

Tony and Mary Poulson
