Next Men’s Event: Monday, August 7, at 6:00pm: BRAT FEST! All men are welcome. No sign up necessary.
We are having an Open House on Sunday, August 6, after the service to inform everyone about the ministries of CVBC. Plan to join us for donuts and information. See where you might get involved in ministry!
The Summer Book Club will meet Sunday August 6 at 11:00am for book #2: The Prodigal God by Tim Keller. Meets in the sanctuary.
Elders will be teaching on sexuality: For 3 consecutive Wednesdays in August, the elders will be teaching on the important and yet difficult topic of sexuality. We will be looking at what the Bible says about it and how we can wisely live in a world that is continually twisting God’s design of sex, marriage, and gender. We will send out a more detailed summary of this class soon. Plan to join us from 6:30-8:00 PM on August 16th, 23rd, and 30th.
Genesis 29:1-30
Main Point: The Promises and Presence of God are ______ even when life’s circumstances are _______.
Because God’s Promises and Presence are real, we should ...

Women’s Ministry
The purpose of the CVBC Women’s Ministry is to bring glory to God by providing opportunities for women to grow in their personal relationships with God, to equip them to serve Him with their spiritual gifts, and to encourage fellowship. We do this by offering:
· Bible Studies: Various Times/Days | Year-Round
* Mondays | 9:00am
* Tuesdays | 9:30am (Tuesday Morning Moms) September-May
* Other seasonal studies | varied times/dates
· Mentoring: Ongoing
We want to know and learn from other women in our walk with the Lord, and one way to do this is through mentoring. If you are interested in having a mentor or training to become one, email the Women’s Ministry
team at the email address below.
· Fall Retreat: October 6-8, 2023. The women’s retreat offers a get-away to worship, learn, study, discuss, pray, make friends and nurture friendships.
· Fellowship Events: The Women’s Ministry Team hosts fun social events throughout the year. The Fall Campfire is a sweet time of fellowship, hot dogs and S’mores around the fire. The Christmas Celebration and Spring Lunch have delicious food and a special speaker. We have had a few Game Events over the past few months, and those are really fun. All of these events offer great opportunities for you to invite and
introduce your friends, family and neighbors to CVBC.
NEXT UP: Wood-fired Pizza night! See details inside this bulletin.
· Newsletter: Our Women’s Ministry July Newsletter is available. We publish a monthly newsletter to help the women of CVBC get to know one another, and to give us a glimpse into the upcoming events and
studies. These are available in the office, via email, or snail mail. To be added to the mailing list, go to cvbc.net/womens-newsletter.
To contact a Women’s Ministry leader, email women@cvbc.net, which goes to the team (Abbey Blake, Sue LeMay, Chris Kriehn, Denise Kuechenmeister, Lindsay Solava, and Shari Strasburg).
