Genesis 28:10-22

Main Point: God’s willingness to pursue us and meet us where we are should motivate us to examine ourselves and meditate on who He is and on who we are in Christ.

1. God’s willingness to pursue us is the opposite of what we deserve…and this magnifies His grace.

2. God’s willingness to meet us in the midst of our sin demonstrates His profound love and grace.

3.  We must be willing to honestly examine ourselves in light of God's    Word.

4. We must meditate on who He is and on who we are in Him.

Small Group Questions:

1. In what ways has God personally "met you where you are" that brings a sense of awe?

2. Have you made a practice of examining yourself when praying and reading Scripture? If not, why not? If so, what is an example of something God revealed to you through it?

3. What is a biblical promise God has made to you, and how does a deeper understanding of this promise practically affect your life?
