Thibaudeau Prayer Letter

March-April 2021

Dear praying friends,

COVID-19

Brazil has had its worst month since the beginning of 2020. The government of Sao Paulo has ordered a lock down for the last two weeks of March.  It looks like it will go into April if the numbers stay high. It has made it very difficult for our churches to hold Sunday school classes and weekly meetings. The school teachers will be able to receive the Covid shots starting the middle of April.

MISSIONARY CLEITON

We were able to visit a new missionary family in the city of Passos in the state of Minas Gerais, Cleiton and Maraisa Souza. Cleiton grew up and got saved in Passos, met his wife at Bible school and returned to Passos at the end of 2019 to start Hope Baptist Church. They just recently rented a small building but are having a difficult time being able to meet or do evangelism with the city ordinances concerning Covid. We are thankful we could be an encouragement to them and pray for God to supply their needs.

BIBLES

This past month we have been in contact with the Bible Society. They are in need of Bibles in Braille. The Bible society in Sao Paulo has a program to which donations can be given to pay for these special Bibles for the blind. We are thankful that we can have a part in getting Bibles to them.

We thank the Lord for protection for Valeree,  Becky’s sister-in-law in Manaus who was bitten by a small poisonous snake. She was taken to the hospital and treated and is doing fine.

In Christ,

Jeff and Becky Thibaudeau
