Back of Bulletin: MISSION: MINNEAPOLIS July 18-24, 2021

Hi Church Family ~

When we learned that we wouldn’t be able to take the mission trip to Guatemala, we accepted the invitation to partner with Urban Connect in South Minneapolis.

This is the statement from Urban Connect on their purpose:

'Urban Connect offers short-term teams dynamic training for daily ministry in diverse inner cities, such as Minneapolis, while empowering them through short- term missions trips to take and implement the skills they learn in their own communities.'

Please pray for our week where we will be learning to minister to a variety of people groups from those that have been there long enough to establish long- term relationships.

We see the clear commands from Matthew 28 and Acts 1 to spread the gospel  but at the same time we all recognize how challenging it is to break out of our comfortable surroundings.  I hope that from experiences like this, our group will grow in their love for God and His people from around the world.  May our desire for humility, justice, and mercy increase every day as we grow in our knowledge of Christ our King.

These verses will be prominent in our Bible study during our time in Minneapolis.

Revelation 5:9,10

And they sang a new song with these words:
“You are worthy to take the scroll
and break its seals and open it.
For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God
from every tribe and language and people and nation.
And you have caused them to become
a Kingdom of priests for our God.
And they will reign on the earth.”

Blessings, Mission: Minneapolis Team
