A Failed Trap

Mark 12:13-44

Main Point: When you come face to face with Jesus, you can either hold Him at ______________________ or give Him ______________________.

  1. Hold Jesus at Arm’s Length

  2. Give Him Your Heart

Small Group Questions:

  1. What is something that stood out to you from the passage or sermon?

  2. How in this passage did people hold Jesus at arm’s length? How do we today?

  3. How do we apply the Great Commandment in our life? How do we act like the widow in verses 41-44?

Back of Bulletin Ministry Highlight:

Student Ministries

CVBC Student Ministries (also known as Youth Group) serves grades 6-12 and is open to any student in those grades. Our aim is to build up believers in their faith and introduce unbelievers to the good news of Jesus Christ.
We have Sunday school throughout the school year at 9:00am.
Our main meeting time is 7-9pm on Wednesday evenings but we have various activities happening throughout the year.
We strive to model the relational nature of ministry that Jesus used by loving God and loving people. We can only do this by the grace of God who has revealed himself in the Bible and allowed us to fellowship with Him through His Word, prayer, fellowship and serving.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • Middle School Retreat (“EQUIP”): Friday-Saturday, April 8-9, in Rice Lake. Brochures and parent permission cards are near Alan’s office, due back April 3.

  • High School Senior Banquet: Sunday evening, May 22, at CVBC. For graduating seniors and immediate families.

If you would like more information regarding this ministry we would love to hear from you.
