Back of Bulletin: Hospitality at CVBC

It is our desire that all people who enter the church will sense the love and grace of Jesus; that the atmosphere alone will minister to them.

1) Coffee Ministry: A simple cup of coffee can make a difference in anyone's day, and it helps stir up conversation between old and new friends alike. These are just a couple of reasons that we host a coffee ministry here at CVBC. We want to welcome ALL who would like a cup of coffee/tea/cocoa and to visit with fellow church family before or after service.

To help with the Coffee Ministry, contact Chris Kriehn  in the church office (723-2872 or office@cvbc.net).

2) Ushering Ministry: The ushering ministry is a vital part of the CVBC welcoming atmosphere.  As one of the first contacts on Sunday morning it is a great way to connect with members and visitors to CVBC.

The usher schedule is set three months at a time, and members of the team select the Sundays that work best for them.  With the team approach each usher is normally scheduled only two or three times per quarter. Ushers can sign up individually, but some families choose to serve together as a team.

· Qualifications: An inviting smile, a warm disposition, a friendly handshake, and a heart for serving.

· Duties: Attend the sanctuary door and greet people as they enter, distribute the weekly bulletin, help find seats as the sanctuary fills up, count and record attendance, pick up bulletins left in the pews between services.

3) Greeting Ministry: Attend the building entry doors and greet people as they  arrive on Sunday morning before and between services.

To volunteer to be an usher or greeter, contact Roger Wilczek: ushers@cvbc.net
