France for Christ
The purpose of France For Christ (FFC) is to encourage and promote the development/revival of the Christian faith in France.
FFC’s ministries are targeted in 3 main areas:
Home groups & house churches: Conduct training and develop resources to establish home groups among the unchurched. Over 50 groups have started so far as a result.
Major Evangelistic Events: 1) Help organize the Regional Evangelism Day that takes place in October each year. 2) Working more and more with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Associa-tion (BGEA) with the goal of doing a BGEA Festival in the Paris area..
Christian radio: Radio Gospel was started in 2006 and plays music that explicitly shares the Gospel message as well as serves as a loudspeaker for evangelistic events.
We have some news we would like to share with you!
In 2005, after a few years of prayer and seeking counsel, Paul took a step of faith, shut down his company (Automotive Experts), and began France For Christ/Mission Gospel France on a shoe-string budget. The Lord blessed this step of faith! The Lord opened the door to be able to do many things, and even brought along a wife to help!
God is leading us to make a change that will be taking place over this next year.
After 4 days of prayer and fasting this past May due to health issues with Paul's mother, we sensed God directing us to take steps to shut down the ministry, retire, and move back to the States. A few weeks ago a joint Board meeting of our three associations was held. Below is a summary of some of the decisions made at that Board meeting:
General target end-dates:
End date in France: Transfer ministry activities to our ministry partners and shut down the French associations Association Radio Gospel and Mission Gospel France. Lord willing, Paul & Laura will move to the States by December 31, 2022 (dependent upon the sale of their house in France).
End date in States: As is common practice among mission organizations for employees that have resided a long time abroad (Paul has been in France for 34 years), France For Christ will provide Paul & Laura a transition time to visit supporters to thank them and help them start adapting back into life in the States. This will take place from approximately January 1 to April 30, 2023. Paul will continue receiving a salary through April 30, 2023 (his 65th birthday), then officially retire and the France For Christ organization will be shut down in the manner deemed to be most appropriate by the France For Christ Board.
We would be grateful if you would continue to support us prayerfully during the coming months. As the Lord leads, we also have need for financial support through April 2023 as we will receive a salary until the end of April 2023. We also have some transition financial needs, such as shipping our things back to the U.S.
Thank you,
Paul & Laura
