What’s Happening at CVBC

  • This week is Small Groups week.

  • Next week there is no Sunday School for all classes (4K through Adults).

  • We are now taking donations for the Annual CVBC Thrift Sale! Bring your items in anytime during office hours or on Sunday mornings. Please call first for larger items so we can meet your vehicle near the storage garage. Thank you for your donations of gently used or new items for our Thrift Sale. This year’s sale will be held on May 5 & 6. All proceeds will go toward CVBC mission trips.

  • Nursery update: We are looking for new volunteers to serve in the nursery! If you're interested in being a part of this ministry, contact Allie (allisonburch4@gmail.com) or Bekah (rebekahlynn58@gmail.com).

  • Adult Sunday School has begun a new three-week series called Prophet, Priest, and King. If you've ever gotten lost in the Old Testament or had a hard time understanding how the stories and books in the OT connect to each other, join us in room 50 at 9:00am as Dave Daniels walks us through these three "offices" in the Bible. See how God uses them to point His people to himself and all of us to Christ, from Genesis right through Revelation. Join us March 26 and April 2!

  • CVBC is hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive Friday, March 31, 9am-3pm. To donate blood, visit redcrossblood.org.

  • MEN: Register now for our 2023 Men’s Retreat held at Kamp Kenwood April 28-29. All men are invited! Sign up in the lobby or online.

GUATEMALA Work/Mission Trip

A note from Alan:

I am so thankful and excited to go back to Guatemala for the first time since 2019 and to continue the ministry partnership with Oscar and Karla Chiquito. When Oscar visited CVBC last Fall he asked if I would bring a team to help work on the Training and Retreat Center project. In two previous trips we worked on the land (prep work) but this trip we will actually be working on the building itself. Thanks to the CVBC Thrift Sale, we have given more than $15,000 to the project and now we will be able to give some blood, sweat, and tears as well - hopefully just sweat as it will be 85 degrees during the day. Along with the building project, we will be doing some home visit ministry and Bible teaching.

Please pray along with us:

  •  For safe travels and good health

  •  For unity and friendship of our team

  •  To be good ambassadors of the gospel

  •  To receive what God wants for us to learn

  •  To accomplish what Oscar wants us to do

Thank you!
